Browser Policy

As a developer of the Internet, I feel it is my responsibility to do whatever I can to help the advancement of the Internet.

Internet Explorer 6 is holding back many design possibilities on the internet, and because of that, I have dropped support for the browser, and I am not alone. Even Google dropped support for IE6 in March 2010.

Steel-Track's Browser Policy is as follows:

  • We guarantee websites to look presentable in IE6, but do not in any way guarantee full functionality, including hover properties, application behaviors, etc.
  • Any browser that has under 5% according to http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp will not be supported, with the exception of Safari due to its usage on Mac operating systems.
  • We do not guarantee websites will perform properly on mobile browsers on cell phones, PDAs, and other similar mobile electronic devices.

You are using
Internet Explorer 6.

This browser is so old that even Google dropped support for IE6 in March 2010.

I have created this warning at the cost of Steel-Track's usability because I believe that IE6 stops the progress of new and better internet standards, and therefore websites.

If you can't do the following options because your IT Department won't allow you to upgrade, please file a formal request to at least allow a second browser such as Mozilla Firefox to be installed.

I recommend that you:
